Mission Accomplished! Key Assignments Wrapped Up with NPCA & City of Whitehorse
Earlier this summer the Board of the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority (NPCA) endorsed its 2018-21 strategic plan. The 2018-21 strategic plan was the culmination of intensive work undertaken by the Board’s strategic planning committee. The NPCA strategic plan reflects extensive stakeholder and public input gathered via traditional face-to-face workshops, as well as an online public input portal. The strategic plan is available for viewing on the NPCA website.
The City of Whitehorse operational review of By-law Services culminated with a presentation of the final report to Council on July 16th. The By-law review’s recommendations provide the City with a road map to implement technology driven improvements to downtown parking, an amalgamation of its animal control shelter with the Yukon Humane Society, an innovative staffing partnership with the Kwanlin Dun first nation, and the use of drone technology for enhanced trails patrol and enforcement. Council has accepted the recommendations and directed staff to development implementation phasing using the annual budget process.
